Barrow sign Flynn

Barrow have announced the signing of Fleetwood Town defender Matt Flynn on a one-year deal, after his release from the club.

The 23-year-old started his career with Warrington Town before joining Macclesfield, where he was sent out on-loan to Rochdale, who he joined on a permanent deal in the summer of 2009. Flynn joined Fleetwood last summer, but made just three appearances for the Blue Square Bet Premier champions, before being let go in May. He spent the second-half of last season on-loan at Altrincham and his signing by Barrow is said to solve the club's problematic right-back slot.
