Bashir to stay on at Hayes
Blue Square Premiership,
Last updated:
Hayes & Reading United have confirmed manager Nas Bashir will remain in charge of the club, despite leading the side to relegation.
Hayes were relegated from the Blue Square Bet Premier League last weekend but the board believe Bashir is the right man to take them back to the top tier of non-league football. Bashir, a former coach at Reading, has been in charge at the Kingfield Stadium since last summer but has been unable to turn their fortunes around and will now be expected to lead the Surrey club to promotion from the Blue Square Bet South next season. A statement on the club's official website read: "Following a review of the current season between first team manager Nas Bashir and the Board on Thursday evening, all parties are in agreement that Nas is the man to lead Hayes & Yeading United's challenge for a swift return to the Blue Square Bet Premier in 2012/13."
