Barrow boss Dave Bayliss believes his side's 0-0 draw at Telford on Saturday only bodes well for the rest of the season.

The Cumbrians were the architects of their own downfall for most of last term, conceding a number of sloppy goals that eventually ended their chances of earning a play-off place. However, after plenty of hard work over the summer, they looked far sturdier on Saturday and Bayliss believes an opening clean sheet will give his side plenty of confidence ahead of Saturday's trip to Woking. "I thought it was a fair result. But we were probably the better side in the second half," he said. "We asked for a clean sheet before the game and the lads have delivered that. "We conceded too many goals last season, especially towards the end. A clean sheet gives you a platform to build from."
