Cox agrees new Stags deal

Mansfield Town manager Paul Cox has agreed a new two-year deal with the Blue Square Bet Premiership promotion chasers.

Cox arrived from Eastwood Town last summer and since taking charge has guided the Stags to third place in the Conference Premier, winning 22 and losing only seven of their league games, as they close in on a play-off place. After signing his new deal, Cox said: "We have laid some good foundations this year, but we need to build on that, hopefully in the Football League. "We have done well this season, but we have not achieved anything yet, it is still early days in terms of what we want to do."
