Mansfield boss Paul Cox is confident his new-look side will keep on improving after recording back-to-back wins.
The Stags, who finished third last term before suffering play-off heartache, lost their first two games of the campaign, shipping eight goals in the process. However, they responded with a 3-2 victory at Kidderminster and backed that up with a 1-0 home win over Hyde on Saturday. Cox admitted it was not a faultless display but was encouraged by the spirit and desire on show. "At some point this team is going to click and it will all come together. We have players catching up on fitness with Jake Speight and Jamie Hand - players who are going to be big players for us," he said. "We had a proper team performance on Saturday where the lads were running for each other, fighting for each other and there were some building blocks put in place, so I am pleased."
