Creighton eyes next season promotion

Wrexham defender Mark Creighton is eyeing a promotion back to the football league next year after his side missed out in the play-offs.
The Welsh club lost out 3-2 on aggregate to Luton Town in the Blue Square Bet Premier play-off semi-finals, despite finishing runners-up and 15 points better off than the Hatters in the regular season. Creighton believes the Red Dragons will be there or thereabouts in the 2012-13 campaign and hints if they aren't, he may look to leave the club. He told Leader Live: "I think if we don't mount a promotion challenge it is not the sort of club I would want to be at. "When I signed my new deal, I was told that was going to be the case. "At the end of the day, we need to go for it again. Why do we now throw the towel in and say well we have had a go this year, now let's just consolidate. "I don't think that is what Wrexham is about and that is definitely not what I am about, and hopefully that is not what the management and the board are about."
