Creighton out for the season
Blue Square Premiership,
Wrexham have been dealt a major blow with the news that defender Mark Creighton has suffered a serious knee injury.
The 30-year-old picked up the injury in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Ebbsfleet and its been confirmed he had ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament.
He is now set to miss the rest of the season but, despite the obvious disappointment, Creighton says he's refusing to get too down about the situation.
"The first thing the specialist said to me was 'your scan does not look pretty' and I started laughing, because what else could I do? If you don't laugh, you cry and it's one of those things," he said.
"I'm in the best possible hands and I can't ask for anything more. Everyone has been great and we'll battle on together."
