Gannon predicting bright future

Stockport boss Jim Gannon says the future is bright for the club after securing their Blue Square Bet Premier place for next season.

Gannon returned to Edgeley Park in November, following the resignation of Dietmar Hamann and has transformed the team, moving on a number of the club's highest earners and replacing them with promising youngsters.
This has seen them move away from the relegation zone and Gannon says he is now building for the future as he looks to take the Hatters back into the Football League.
"I'm very proud to know that we've done a job this year but, like the first time I came in, it's not just about doing that it's about building for the future," he said. "It just shows that my trust in young players and players who are hungry and driven, below this level, is the right way to go."
