Mariners sign Hatton

Grimsby Town have made their third signing of the summer with the capture of former AFC Wimbledon defender Sam Hatton.

The 24-year-old, who scored 22 goals in over 200 appearances for the Wombles, has signed a a two-year deal with the Mariners and becomes Rob Scott and Paul Hurst's latest acquisition at Blundell Park following the arrivals of Joe Colbeck and Andy Cook. Hatton, who can play as a full-back or in midfield, featured in over 40 League Two games for the Dons last season and is a twice-capped England C player after starting his career at Stevenage.
