Wrexham player-manager Andy Morrell believes his side did more than enough to beat leaders Fleetwood Town on Tuesday night.
The Red Dragons went into the game at Highbury hoping for three points that would close the gap on the leaders and opened the scoring through Jake Speight after 53 minutes. However, Marc Creighton then put through his own net six minutes later and the game ended in a draw. After the match, Morrell said that he was disappointed that his team had picked up just a point and believes that they deserved to win the game. "Tonight was about trying to win a game of football and I thought we did well, we stood up," Morrell told the club's official website. "It was two really good teams going at it and looking to win. "I'm disappointed with a point, as I thought we might have nicked all three."
