Jai Reason wants assurances he will feature regularly for Braintree next season before committing his future to the club.

The young midfielder turned down an initial contract offer from the club, saying he was not offered improved terms. Reason has indicated though that he might stay if he will be a regular first-team action. "I've played there all my life, I feel for me to develop as a player, central midfield is the option. It's not about the money at all, it's more about positioning," Reason told BBC Essex. "I love that club - I do owe a lot to Braintree because of where I am today. I'm trying hard not to move on, but if this is the case then I have to." Reason helped steer Braintree to the Blue Square Bet South title in 2011, before playing regularly for the club in the Premier Division last term.
