Reds re-sign Stewart
Blue Square Premiership,
Alfreton Town have re-signed goalkeeper Jon Stewart on a four-month loan from Championship club Burnley.
Alfreton boss Nicky Law was delighted to land Stewart, who had a spell at the club last season, but insists the 23-year-old's arrival is not a bad reflection on Phil Barnes. "I got a phone call to say it was a possibility to bring him [Stewart] in and it was something we just had to do. I just think Jon will be the best goalkeeper at this level which he proved last year to be fair," Law told his club's official website. "I must stress that Phil has done absolutely nothing wrong and it is in no way any reflection on what he has done. There have been times this year when he has made some top saves and kept us in games.
