Barrow winger Paul Rutherford has become the eighth player to agree a new contract with the club, after signing a one-year deal.
The Wirral-born former Chester City player has made 144 appearances for the Bluebirds since joining the club in the summer of 2009 and was man-of-the-match when the Holker Street outfit won the FA Trophy at Wembley two years ago. Rutherford joins goalkeepers Danny Hurst and Shaun Pearson, defenders Gavin Skelton, Mike Pearson and Matt Flynn, midfielder James Owen, and striker Adam Boyes as confirmed signings before Barrow's record fifth consecutive season at the top of the non-league pyramid.
