Luton Town have completed the signing of former Gillingham midfielder Danny Spiller.
Spiller moves to Kenilworth Road as a free agent following his release from Gillingham where he made 173 league appearances in two spells from 2001. The central midfielder has also spent time at Millwall and Dagenham & Redbridge but failed to cement a first-team place before returning to the Priestfield club in December 2010, scoring four goals in 45 league games before his summer exit. Hatters boss Paul Buckle is delighted with his new addition, and he said: "Danny is an energiser. He fits the bill perfectly of what we need in the centre of midfield. "He might be 30 but he's got the legs and is incredibly mobile. He can pass and tackle to great effect. "He's also got the know-how and has played in the Championship for both Millwall and Gillingham - and that's no mean feat." The signing comes just a day after Luton also confirmed the capture of Stevenage captain Ronnie Moore.
