U's complete Moke deal

Cambridge boss Jez George has continued his summer spending spree with the signing of York midfielder Adriano Moke.

The 22-year-old moves to the Abbey Stadium for an undisclosed fee on a one-year-deal after turning down the opportunity of an extension at Bootham Crescent. Moke made 22 appearances during the Minstermen's promotion-winning campaign last term and U's boss George is hoping his experience will rub off on his new team-mates. "AJ (Moke) will give us competition for places in both wide areas, and offer something different to what we have in the squad," George said. "We feel has the potential to be a real asset for this club in the long term. "He is a very quick, explosive and direct player who loves dribbling with the ball and we think that he will excite our fans."
