Adam Bogdan has hailed the influence of Jussi Jaaskelainen after his goalkeeping counterpart ended a 15-year association with Bolton to join West Ham.

The veteran keeper will be reunited with former Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce after agreeing a one-year deal at Upton Park. Bogdan took Jaaskelainen's mantle as Bolton's number one in the second half of last season, but maintains he owes a significant debt to the 37-year-old. "You can't help but learn off someone with his experience," he told the club's official website. "He has taught me so much and for that I'll always have reason to thank him. "It's always sad when a team-mate leaves. For me, even more so given that I was fortunate enough to train with him every day. We'll definitely stay in touch. "I'm sure that everyone associated with Bolton Wanderers wishes him well and thanks him for his service over the last 15 years. He'll always be an absolute legend here."
