Mears linked with Reebok
Bolton Wanderers, 14:05, July 5, 2010 ,
Bolton could be ready to make another swoop on Burnley with Clarets right-back Tyrone Mears said to be the target.
Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has already landed striker Robbie Blake on a free transfer after he fell out of contract and now reports claim he could be lining up a swoop for Mears as well.
Mears impressed in the Premier League last season despite Burnley being relegated and Coyle is keen to get him on board. However, the Clarets do not have to cash in and it would take a significant bid from the Trotters to tempt them into selling.
Much depends on the future of Gary Cahill at the Reebok Stadium as Manchester United are being linked with a £15million move for the central defender.
Coyle does not want to sell but it may be the only way he can fund a move for Mears if he is that desperate to get the right-back on board.
