Meggo eyes Royals bid
Bolton Wanderers, 13:34, June 24, 2009 ,
Bolton have joined the race to sign Kevin Doyle and are ready to pay £6.5million for the Reading striker.
The Republic of Ireland ace looks certain to move this summer after failing to win promotion back to the Premiership and Trotters boss Gary Megson is keen.
Megson would face strong competition for the player as Fulham, Sunderland and Wolves are all keen but the Trotters boss would be willing to match Reading's valuation and that could give him the edge.
Doyle would take the pressure of Kevin Davies next season and while Megson is expecting Johan Elmander to improve, he is still in the hunt for another striker.
As soon as Gary Megson makes his first signing of the summer we will send out mobile alerts on our new sms service.
