N'Gog worry for Trotters

David N'Gog remains an injury doubt for Bolton ahead of Nottingham Forest's visit to the Reebok Stadium.
The French striker continues to struggle with a back strain he aggravated during the pre-season friendly at Portsmouth earlier this month. It means boss Owen Coyle is faced with a choice of two from three in attack and on-loan Arsenal youngster Benik Afobe could push for a start alongside Kevin Davies after replacing Marvin Sordell to good affect in Tuesday's 2-0 win over Derby. Afobe has caught the eye since joining Wanderers in pre-season and credited the role of recently departed star Robin van Persie in his development at Arsenal. "I was injured for over six months and when he was young at Arsenal he used to get injured quite a lot," the 19-year-old told BBC Radio Manchester. "He told me to keep motivated and he kept asking about my rehab. He always guides me and he was a bit like a big brother to me at Arsenal last season." Elsewhere, Stuart Holden and David Wheater (both knee) remain long-term injury victims.
