Race on for £4m Whites ace

Bolton Wanderers, 13:12, October 14, 2008 ,

Bolton have been joined by West Brom and Sunderland in the race to sign Leeds United midfielder Fabian Delph.

Trotters boss Gary Megson has made it his mission to sign young English players since arriving at the Reebok Stadium and Delph is thought to be on his wanted list.
The England under-19-international is rated as one of the best prospects in the game and certainly one that Leeds boss Gary McAllister does not want to see leave Elland Road.
There is talk of a £4m move for the player but the Trotters are not alone in their admiration of the player and both Sunderland and West Brom are also said to be monitoring his situation.
Delph was recently rewarded with a new four year deal in an effort to keep him at Elland Road and the Bradford born player has expressed no desire to leave the Whites.
However the chance to play in the Premiership could be too tempting to turn down and the youngster's resolve could be tested when the window re-opens in January.
