Real defender signs

Bolton Wanderers, 11:50, July 22, 2010 ,

Bolton have completed the signing of Marcos Alonso from Real Madrid for a fee in the region of £2million.

Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has been chasing the talented left-back all summer and has finally landed his man after agreeing to pay Real 2.5million euros.
Benfica were also in the hunt but the youngster made it clear he wanted to move to the Premier League and he becomes Coyle's third signing of the summer so far following on from the arrivals of Martin Petrov and Robbie Blake.
The arrival of Alonso will now cast further doubt over the future of Jlloyd Samuel while Paul Robinson will also be pushed down the pecking order at the Reebok Stadium.
