Trotters eye Eastern move
Bolton Wanderers, 14:22, June 25, 2009 ,
Bolton are understood to be poised to make a bid for highly-rated South Korean midfielder Lee Chung-yong.
Wanderers scouts have recently watched the player in action for his country and it's believed Gary Megson will make an offer for Lee during the summer transfer window.
The player's agent says he is aware of Bolton's interest and his club, FC Seoul, have indicated that a deal could be in the pipeline.
Representative Kim Seung-tae said: "Yes, Bolton have sent a scout to watch him play for South Korea. However, nothing has been discussed at this stage."
Meanwhile, FC Seoul general manager Han Woong-soo added: "There were rumours about Lee, but we have had no contact from Bolton.
"We are willing to talk. Lee is a key player for us but he can leave if it will help with his development."
