Zenga linked with Trotters job

Bolton Wanderers, 11:07, November 26, 2009

Bolton have sounded out Walter Zenga over becoming the club's new manager, according to a source close to the Italian.

Pressure is mounting on Gary Megson as Bolton face another season of struggle and reports claim that the Trotters could turn to the former Italian international goalkeeper.

Zenga has just been sacked by Italian Serie A side Palermo but he could be set for a swift return to management if Megson gets the axe at the Reebok Stadium.

"Zenga has been approached by Bolton," a source close to the player has been quoted as saying. "And knowing him well, he is very open to the idea.

"He speaks seven languages, including English, and has lived in many countries. England will be no problem for him."
