Groves to discover Cherries' choice

Bournemouth caretaker manager Paul Groves is set for talks on Monday over whether he will be given full-time charge of the Cherries.

Groves, who led his side to a 1-0 victory at home to struggling Preston in Saturday's season finale, was appointed joint-caretaker boss in March and has since recorded just two losses in his eight games in charge.
His latest triumph against Preston, which was settled by Charlie Daniels' penalty on 50 minutes, sees the Cherries end their campaign on an unbeaten run of three games.
Groves said: "We might take stock on Monday. It's been a hectic few weeks. So I think over the course of the next week to 10 days I'm sure everybody will sit down and reflect, and the board will make their decision.
"We'll assess over the period of time we've been in on the squad, and we'll give our thoughts with regards to taking the club forward, and then it's down to the powers that be and it's their decision in terms of which way they go. Everybody recognises that there is a degree of ability within the team.
"This football club is ready to go forward. For someone that gets hold of it, it's a fantastic opportunity. The owners will back the people 100 per cent in terms of the conversations that we've been privy to. So whoever gets the opportunity to take this football club forward will have a great chance of doing so."
