Brighton boss Gus Poyet could hand debuts to four players when his side travel to Swindon in the Capital One Cup.
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak is expected to start following his summer move, with Andrew Crofts pencilled in to line up in midfield after re-signing for Albion after a spell at Norwich.
Poyet has also brought in former England and Chelsea defender Wayne Bridge on loan from Manchester City to add some experience, while fellow defender Bruno may also feature in the back four following his move from La Liga side Valencia.
But Seagulls striker Will Hoskins will miss the start of the season after fracturing a bone in his foot during a pre-season training camp in Spain.
