Poyet hoping for positive transfer news

Brighton manager Gus Poyet is remaining upbeat ahead of the new season despite suffering early setbacks in his bid to bring in new players.
Joe Mattock opted to sign a three-year deal with newly-promoted Sheffield Wednesday last week instead of returning to the south-coast club where he had enjoyed a successful loan spell from West Brom.
But Poyet told The Argus: "I hope we can do something in the first few days of this week. We are so close but at the same time it is not in your hands. It is in the hands of the agent and the player.
"We're lucky we are a club that people like," he said. "We have a good relationship with agents and we have no problem with anyone, which is good, but that doesn't mean they will come to you just because you are good."
The news comes as other potential targets look increasingly unlikely to return. After a year playing for Albion on loan from Valencia, Spanish attacker Vicente is being strongly linked with a move to Villarreal.
