Basso ready to quit Robins - Reports

Adriano Basso is reportedly looking to leave Bristol City after losing his place in the side following failed contract extension talks.

The highly-rated Brazilian goalkeeper has been an influential member of boss Gary Johnson's squad in recent seasons at Ashton Gate and recently picked up the player of the year award.

However with Basso's current contract due to expire next summer and his failure to agree a new deal, he has been left out of the side as Dean Gerken has taken over the number one jersey.

As a result Skysports claims Basso is now thought to be looking to jump ship and join another club when the transfer window opens in just over a month's time as he strives for some regular first-team football.
