Bristol City boss Gary Johnson expects midfielder Marvin Elliott to be sidelined for two more weeks with a knee problem.
Elliott has not played so far this season after suffering the setback in pre-season and Johnson has warned that he will need time to get his sharpness back.
The Ashton Gate chief told the club's website: "I think he's two weeks away from a return. Once he gets over the knee problem it will be about getting his touch and fitness back.
"He needs games for that, but it will be great when he's back available again - like another new signing."
Johnson has said he will choose his keeper on a weekly basis with Chris Weale and last season's number one Adriano Basso fighting it out for the shirt.
