Johnson eyes more deals
Bristol City, 17:44, January 20, 2009 ,
Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has revealed he is still hoping to sign some players on permanent deals in the transfer window.
Johnson has already brought in Slovakian striker Peter Styvar and does have more money to spend in the remainder of the month.
The Robins boss has several targets in mind as bids to strengthen further but admits if he can't sign anyone else permanently he may have to delve into the loan market.
"We're a bit thin when it comes to cover," he told the Bristol Evening Post.
"We've been looking for a while now and there are several players we've considered. But finding the right one can be difficult in January and the process is still on-going.
"My preference would be to sign someone on a permanent basis, someone who wants to be a part of what we are building for the future here. But if that proves impossible this month, then I'm prepared to look at the loan market."
