Maynard linked with Premiership switch

Bristol City, 15:26, May 17, 2010 ,

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is believed to be keen to secure a £4.5million deal for Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard.

Maynard began his career with Crewe Alexandra before making a £2million move to Ashton Gate in 2008 and after initially struggling to make an impact with the Robins the forward has now earned a reputation as one of the Championship's most dangerous marksmen.
It is thought Hodgson is lining up a £4.5m bid for the 23-year-old as he looks to bolster his attacking options and the Fulham boss believes that will be a big enough offer to convince City to sell.
However, Fulham may face a battle for the striker's signature with Everton also believed to be keen on Maynard.
