McCombe out of Argyle trip

Bristol City, 17:04, January 27, 2009 ,

Defender Jamie McCombe is the only definite absentee for Bristol City's trip to face Plymouth Argyle at Home Park on Tuesday.

Robins boss Gary Johnson is boosted by having a near full strength squad to choose from after his side enjoyed a 10-day break since drawing 2-2 with league leaders Wolves at Ashton Gate on January 17.
However McCombe is due to be missing until mid-February after undergoing a successful operation on his stomach and pelvis last week.
Johnson is looking for his players to secure a win against the Pilgrims so City can look towards the play-off places as opposed to facing a fight to avoid being embroiled in a relegation scrap.
He said: "The next five or six matches are vital to our season. We want to be competing in and around the play-offs and we need to put a run together to be able to do that.
"Having a largely fully fit squad is going to be important and we have used the break well in my opinion and the lads have trained well and look ready to go."
