Bristol City manager Derek McInnes is confident his side can repeat the success they enjoyed at Nottingham Forest late last season.
The Robins will launch the new season on August 18 at the City Ground, where a second-half penalty from Chris Woods secured them a 1-0 win in April and set McInnes' side on their way to a six-game unbeaten run that saw them escape relegation. "It's an exciting game for everyone concerned. It's a relatively short journey so we should go there with a decent sized support," McInnes told the club's official website. "Of course we enjoyed a very important win at the City Ground at the back end of last season and I'm sure that will still be fresh in our minds. Hopefully we can go and repeat the victory to ensure we start the season well. "Being away on the opening day gives us back-to-back home games to follow that up with, one of which being the local derby against Cardiff City. All-in-all I think we should be pleased with the start we've got."
