New deal for defender
Bristol City, 14:49, January 8, 2009 ,
Bristol City right-back Bradley Orr has signed a new two-and-a-half year contract at Ashton Gate which delights boss Gary Johnson.
The 26-year-old has finally signed a new contract extension after turning down the Robins' last two offers, which resulted in the defender being placed on the transfer list.
City gaffer Johnson has expressed his delight and told the club's official website: "We're really happy to have him on board for the next two-and-a-half years. He's been a great servant to the club during my time here and has always given 100%. We're delighted he is staying."
Orr joined City on a free transfer from Newcastle and has gone on to make 194 appearances and has netted ten goals for the Robins.
The right-back was named in last season's PFA Coca-Cola Championship team of the season for his performances during the run to the play-off final.
