No old pals act for Robins ace
Bristol City, 17:39, December 5, 2008 ,
Lee Trundle is set to line up for Bristol City against former club Swansea at Ashton Gate as Dele Adebola is a doubt for the game.
Trundle, who quit the Swans to link up with the Robins in a £1million deal in August 2007, will be facing his old club for the first time on Saturday if he gets the nod to start in attack by boss Gary Johnson. His chances of playing have been boosted by the news fellow forward Adebola is struggling to shake off a dead leg, picked up at Preston last week, in time for the match.
"We will give Dele until the very last minute and see how he is," said Johnson.
Stern John has recovered from an ankle injury which forced him out of last Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Deepdale and he should get the nod to start.
Meanwhile 32-year-old Trundle has vowed to show City fans where his loyalty lies with an accomplished display against his former employers.
He told the Robins official site: "[If selected] I will give it my all for City, even if that meant scoring a penalty in the last minute.
"I've got a lot of respect for the Swansea fans and I hope they've got a similar respect for all that I did at the club.
"But I'm totally committed to Bristol City and my one and only aim is to get a regular place in the first team."
