Patsa sources claim bid fails
Bristol City, 13:39, January 19, 2009 ,
Bristol City have learned today that they have failed with a cheeky bid for Greek international Christos Patsatzoglou.
According to reports in Greece, City tabled a cheeky £360,000 bid for the midfielder - who is out of contract in the summer, but Olympiakos want at least £1.3m.
However reports in Athens claim that the Greek champions will be offering Patsatzoglou a new contract.
Meanwhile, boss Gary Johnson praised his side's performance against Championship leaders Wolves, as City managed to grab a 2-2 draw after coming from two goals down.
"It was fantastic character by my players in some of the worst conditions you will ever see a game played in." Johnson told the club's website.
