Gary Johnson will make training tough for his City players this week as he aims to fire them up for the clash with Southampton.
The Robins boss wants to ensure a reaction from his men after he felt a lack of commitment cost them a 4-1 home defeat to Reading on Saturday.
Johnson intends to liven up training in order to have his players champing at the bit to get at Southampton when they visit St Mary's at the weekend.
"They have to be angry about something and I will make them angry," he said. "They are in for a tough week and they are going to end up hating someone.
"That someone will probably be me, but I don't care so long as they show the right level of commitment when we play Southampton.
"They have to be angry young men and they have to be committed. We will not be silly, but we will not be holding back in training either.
"They will have sessions which will be hard, fast and aggressive and get them in the right mood for Southampton on Saturday.
"It is going to be hard work this week and I need to find the ones who can handle what we are going to be doing. We have to make sure we have a really big week and go into the Southampton game showing the passion and commitment we lacked against Reading."
