Sno blow for Robins
Bristol City, 19:21, January 6, 2010 ,
Bristol City will again be without Evander Sno against Crystal Palace this weekend as he is still away on compassionate leave.
Sno is back in his homeland in Surinam after attending the funeral of his grandmother and boss Gary Johnson says he does not expect the player to be back in time for the weekend.
"Evander has to be rated doubtful for the Palace game," Johnson confirmed. "We expected him to be back this week, but it seems funerals in that part of South America are a major event and can go on for quite a few days.
"The latest we've heard is that he is not expected to catch a flight until Thursday or Friday and, given the distance involved, it's unlikely he'll make it in time to play on Saturday.
"We didn't have a problem with him going, because he was brought up by his grandmother and her death came as a big shock to him.
"Now it's just a case of waiting for him to arrive back and seeing what kind of condition he is in."
