Bristol Rovers chairman Nick Higgs is hoping Rovers can get off to a flying start next term after casting his eye over the opening fixtures.
The Pirates begin by hosting Oxford and Higgs is delighted to start with a home advantage.
"It is a huge bonus to start at home, especially as this game is almost a local derby and promises to attract a big crowd with a great atmosphere," he told the club's official website.
"It is definitely a fixture to look forward to, and gets us all excited about the new season.
"The release of the fixtures really focuses you on the coming campaign, and we will sit down and fully analyse these fixtures over the coming days.
"Let's hope we can build on some of the performances we saw at the end of last season, because if we can, it should be a really exciting campaign."
