Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has given the side a boost after it was revealed he is ready to return to training.
The Bayern Munich man has been struggling with a calf strain and has been unable to train since joining up with the squad last month.
The midfielder was forced to sit out the friendly with Israel in Leipzig on Thursday, which Germany won 2-0.
However, the 27-year-old's condition has since improved and boss Joachim Low has confirmed he could be fit to start Germany's opening group match with Portugal on June 9.
"Schweinsteiger is now pain free again for the first time," Low told Bild. "He can perhaps train again with the team on Monday or Tuesday."
