Bremen keen on Elia

Werder Bremen have confirmed they are interested in signing Juventus winger Eljero Elia.

The 25-year-old Dutchman moved to Italy from Hamburg last summer but failed to impress during his first year and is now expected to move away from Turin, with interest from a host of European clubs, including Premier League outfit West Ham.
But Werder Bremen are the latest team to be linked with the player's signature and general manager Klaus Allofs has admitted the club are enquiring about his availability.
"We are looking into the possibility of signing Eljero Elia from Juventus," he told Deutsche Pressagentur.
Bremen defender Naldo has meanwhile said he would be delighted to line up alongside Elia again, telling Kreiszeitung Syke: "If Elia of Juventus signs for our club, that would be great.
"I played against him when he was with Hamburg and he is a very good player.
"He would be able to help us a lot and I would be delighted if the deal goes through."
