Brazilian playmaker Diego, who spent last season on loan at Atletico Madrid, believes he will return to Wolfsburg next season.
The 27-year-old moved to Spain last summer after falling out with Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath, just 12 months after signing for €15.5 million from Juventus. He impressed during his time at the Vicente Calderon, helping the club to Europa League glory and fifth place in La Liga. Diego had initially suggested he would be happy to stay in Spain, but his latest comments suggest he is now ready to return to Germany. "I think that I will be at Wolfsburg next season again," he told Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung. "I still have two years on my contract."
