Dzeko returns to former club

Edin Dzeko will face his former club Wolfsburg this evening as Manchester City visit the Bundesliga outfit.

The German side finished eighth in the Bundesliga last season, and have not been in the best of pre-season form, having shipped nine goals in five games, losing three of them.
The latest was against Bayern Munich, in which Croatian Mario Mandzukic, a summer signing from Wolfsberg, scored. Coach Felix Magath must also address the situation with Brazilian midfielder Diego, who was on loan at Atletico Madrid last season, and who did not want to return to the German club.
In contrast, City have posted four wins and a draw in five pre-season games, and Dzeko will be keen to show Roberto Mancini that he is worthy of a regular place in the team. The match kicks off at 19:30 UK BST.
