Euro stars join Bayern camp

Arjen Robben and Mario Mandzukic are the first of Bayern's Euro 2012 participants to join up with the squad at their pre-season camp.

The Bavarians' internationals were given extra time to recuperate after their summer exploits in Poland and Ukraine, as the rest of the squad assembled in Italy to begin preparations for the new season. But Dutch international Robben is now back with his team-mates, while Croatia international star Mandzukic, who joined Bayern from Wolfsburg for an undisclosed fee, is also in Italy. The German giants are looking to bounce back from a disappointing season in which they promised much but delivered nothing, with defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League final. They also lost out to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga title race and will be looking to set the record straight in the upcoming season.
