Gladbach defender signs for Bayern

Borussia Monchengladbach have confirmed that defender Dante will join Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

The Brazilian joined Die Fohlen in 2009, firmly establishing himself as a key member of his side's defence and has been paramount in their battle for a Champions League place this season.
His form has raised speculation over his future with a number of clubs interested in his signature. Gladbach have now confirmed he'll move to Munich in the summer and the Brazilian says that he feels ready to 'take that next step' in his career.
"Bayern are one of the world's biggest clubs and there I can have the chance to play at the very highest of levels and win titles," Dante said in a statement.
"I am now 28 years old and want to take that next step in my career."
