Hamburg cagey over van der Vaart
Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen says his club is playing a waiting game over re-signing Rafael van der Vaart.
The Dutchman's future at Tottenham is in doubt after two seasons with new boss Andre Villas-Boas thought to be ready to sell him. But Arnesen insists there will only be movement if Hamburg get any encouragement over taking van der Vaart back to the Bundesliga. He told Welt: "I don't want to talk about it too much because Van der Vaart has a contract at Tottenham Hotspur until 2015. "If I get a signal from his end that there might be something, things will be different. "At the moment it is not practical. He is on holiday after the European Championship. In the next few weeks we will see what happens."
