Hamburg close to double deal

Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen has revealed the club are close to signing keeper Rene Adler and striker Artjoms Rudnevs.

Adler's current deal with Bayer Leverkusen expires in the summer and he is poised to agree a five-year deal with Hamburg. Lech Poznan striker Rudnevs is on the verge of a €3.5million move to Hamburg, and Arnesen expects the duo to seal moves to the Bundesliga side in the coming days. "The board has approved both transfers. Now I have to settle the last bits," Arnesen told Bild.
