Hamburg in for Elm
Hamburg chairman Carl-Edgar Jarchow has revealed the club are in the race to sign highly-rated Sweden international Rasmus Elm.
The 24-year-old is expected to leave AZ Alkmaar this summer, with Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United thought to be eyeing a move for the midfielder.
Hamburg have previously been linked with Elm and Jarchow has now confirmed the Rothosen are chasing the Netherlands-based star, with billionaire Klaus-Michael Kuehne reportedly keen to help fund the deal.
"We are talking frequently [with Kuehne] and we are talking about many things," said the Hamburg chairman. "Elm is definitely a player that has been making our shortlist."
Meanwhile, Tolgay Arslan has signed a new three-year deal at the Imtech Arena.
