Heynckes happy with Gustavo role

Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes is happy to have Luiz Gustavo at left-back for the foreseeable future and feels he will do well.

The Bundesliga giants have been plagued by injury problems in defence as Rafinha, David Alaba and Diego Contento are all sidelined. Heynckes has had to improvise and has been using the former Hoffenheim midfielder in a deeper role than usual. And the veteran tactician feels that the Brazilian is more than capable of adapting to his new role. "Gustavo at left-back can work," he said. "In my opinion, it's a question of acclimatisation and identifying with the position. "He didn't do badly at all in defence in the friendly against Kaiserslautern, quite the opposite."
