Hoeness ends Dortmund feud

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has ended the war of words between his club and Borussia Dortmund by praising the champions.
Hoeness called Dortmund general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke to congratulate him on the club's second consecutive Bundesliga title and ended a season-long feud between the two clubs.
Hoeness had accused Watzke of insinuating that his side is a small club with a small budget, while ridiculing Dortmund's fortunes in Europe in recent years.
But the pair appear to have made up, as Watzke confirmed he had spoken to the Bayern chief.
"It's true, Mr Hoeness called me yesterday morning and personally congratulated me on the title," he told Bild newspaper. "I found that a very noble gesture."
Bayern's chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also found time to praise the Bundesliga champions, saying: "Dortmund played a very good season and their team showed class and consistency, and therefore they deserve to be 2012 Bundesliga champions."
