Lahm - Better team lost

Philipp Lahm claimed Bayern Munich were "the better team" in their 5-2 defeat by Borussia Dortmund in the German Cup final.

Bayern started brightly in Berlin but found themselves 3-1 behind at the break. Two further strikes in the second half either side of a Franck Ribery effort sealed a comprehensive victory for the Bundesliga champions. "We were the better team for 90 minutes, but we made disastrous errors and kept handing it to our opponents on a plate, a situation Dortmund exploited to the maximum," the Germany international told the club's official website. "We just can't make errors like that next week (against Chelsea)."
